Hypersunday is a producer and it is also a label, Hypersunday Records.
The Spanish producer NIET! is behind both projects. She started with electronic music in the 80s. After a long break, she created Hypersunday with the musician Héctor González. Emerged in 2013, Hypersunday practiced dance electronic music on the spectrum of synthpop-house with some dark tints. Two albums later (‘Commedia-Intro’, 2014, and ‘Inferno,’ 2015, both with the label Glocal Sound) Héctor and NIET! decided to finish their association.
From there, NIET! took the reins of the project and set herself to the task of completing the original goal, as well as creating her own netlabel, Hypersunday Records. In 2016, ‘Purgatory’ was released. The album was among the three finalists in the category of Best Album at the Vicious Music Awards 2016. In ‘Purgatory’, each track was the result of the collaboration with a different producer. Resonance, Omega dB, David Reina, C-System, Senseo, Hexamoten, Carlos Moralejo, Delusions and Jaime Tejón participated in the album.
‘Paradise’ (13 April, 2018) is the latest album of the project. From electronic pop to experimental techno, this album means a map of the Hypersunday’s sound, a world where you can find brutal bases and delicate melodies, sung and recited voices, tons of different emotions that spread over the tracks.
By its side, Hypersunday Records has released the two latest Hypersunday’s albums, a single of the producer Omega dB and three albums of NIET! We are working now, 2020, in two new albums to be released this year.
